These are graphical presentations of the periods covered by the registers of parish and nonconformist churches. They were prepared based on registers deposited at Sheffield Archives are not fully representative of all registers in existence. The coverage of post 1900 registers is not complete. Some early registers may have been lost or destroyed, through the passage of time. The start dates do not necessarily indicate the date at which records began to be kept, and additional coverage may be found elsewhere – in particular in the Bishop’s Transcripts. Note that the timelines do not necessarily indicate a continuous run of registers. There may be some breaks in coverage.
