James Neil (1878) had 6 children with Agnes (1870) in Sheffield. James was a cabinet Maker.

Sorry, I am new to the forum and I wasn’t able to update the post. However, I am looking for any information about their parents. Agnes was born in Birmingham and I believe James may have been born in Sheffield and I do not know his date of death.

Is this the family in 1911 when Agnes Matilda PRICE was married to Walter JOWETT? Going forward to the 1939 register James Neil is still listed as a Cabinet Case Maker and Single

Sending for the marriage of Walter Jowett and Agnes Matilda Price would at least give you her father’s name. Enabling you to go back on her line.

No date given for death. 20 Nov 1942 James Neil aged 64 died at 2 Herries Rd which is the Northern General Hospital.
This appears to be the family. I believe that William Henry is the father of James who married Fanny Hawksworth at St John’s church in March 1878. There is a birth registration for James in 1878 with a mother maiden name as Hawksworth. Her father is given as William on the marriage, which appears to be the William Hawksworth also in this grave.

William Henry Neil aged 33 died 19 Feb 1887 (from General Cemetery burial register)
William Henry Neil married Fanny Hawksworth 4 March 1878. I have copy of marriage certificate from FMP. His father is Charles a Cutler and the bride’s father is William a Tool Maker.
A son James was registered in the Sept Q of 1878 with a mother’s maiden name Hawksworth.
Sarah Elizabeth Neil was registered in the March Q of 1881 with mother’s maiden name Hawksworth.
Frances Neil was registered in the Sep Q of 1884 mother’s maiden Hawksworth.
Fanny Neil a widower Nee Hawksworth married Wilfred Beard 7 April 1890 at St Silas church her father is William Hawksworth (dec) a Wood Turner. William Hawksworth is in the same grave as William Henry Neil. (have a copy)
1891 census James Neil is living with Wilfred Beard and his mother Frances Beard.
