I’m particularly interested in Samuel Henderson who was born about 1793 (don’t know where). He lived in Sheffield and was married to Hannah (surname unknown). He was a seedsman and I think he had a shop at 10 Pinstone Street, Sheffield. He died in 1835 in Sheffield.

This is a long shot, as I am also enquiring about Henderson in Sheffield.
My ancestor ‘Mary’ married David Thompson from Sheffield. After years of searching, I am surmising she was born Mary Henderson 1785 at Hamsterley, Co Durham. David Thompson and Mary Henderson married at Hamsterly c1810, then spent the rest of their lives in Sheffield, as David and his ancestors had.

I’ve still not been able to find anything about where my Samuel Henderson was born unfortunately. He could be related to your Mary. He was living in Sheffield from at least 1816 onwards. Both Samuel and his wife Hannah (nee Blyton) died prior to the 1841 Census but their children were still living in Sheffield so there could be some connections to look into there. Samuel was also listed in trade directories and was on the Electoral Register.
