      I am trying to move backwards on my Lashley line, the earliest people I have on each surname are

      Joseph Lashley a tanner, 1782-1842 (born Yorkshire, died Sheffield). His wife Lydia, maiden name unknown, was born Sheffield.

      William Ambler a Shearsmith, 1757-1814 (birthplace unknown, married and buried at Sheffield parish)

      Elizabeth Ibitt wife of William Ambler, 1760-1835 (birthplace unknown, married and buried at Sheffield parish)
