Visit to Kelham Island Museum


Housed in an early 20th century electricity generating station, Kelham Island is a unique centre of historical, social, scientific and technological interest and provides the opportunity to examine Sheffield’s growth, changes and development, as well as being home to the River Don Engine.

Directions
By Road:
Follow signs for A61(n) then follow white on brown tourism signs to Kelham Island. Postcode for Sat Nav users is S3 8RY. Car parking is included in admission but spaces are limited.
By Public Transport:
Use either ‘Middlewood’ (yellow) or ‘Malin Bridge’ (blue) tram service to Shalesmoor. Then follow pedestrian signs to Kelham Island (cross tram tracks, cross the ring road towards The Ship Inn, walk down any side street and turn right onto Alma Street). The museum is approx 5 mins walk from tram stop
Accessible by Public Transport: Sheffield station is 2 miles away.
