Elizabeth Bailey HIBBARD

Born c1858 Sheffield. She married William BURGIN on 22 Apr 1877 at St John the Evangelist. The marriage register entry says she was the  illegitimate daughter of Barnett BAILEY. I think her mother was probably Sarah HIBBARD (Hibberd/Hibbeard) who married James GARBUTT in 1860. She may have had a brother called Aaron. Just wondering if anyone else out there is researching this family?

I’m not directly descended from Elizabeth. She and William BURGIN had a son George BURGIN (b. 08 May 1880 in Sheffield) and he married Alice Elizabeth MARSHALL on the 26 Oct 1913 at St Luke’s, Dyer’s Hill. Alice was the youngest of 9 children born to Thomas MARSHALL & Elizabeth SPICK. Alice’s brother, Francis MARSHALL (b.1868 in Alfreton, Derbyshire), was my gtgrandfather.

I’ve not been able to find a birth registration or a baptism for Elizabeth. Hoping someone may be able to shed some light? Thanks, Paul (Marshall).
