NEW NAME:

North Yorkshire Archives

From 1 April 2025, the North Yorkshire County Record Office has become North Yorkshire Archives.

After more than 50 years as NYCRO, we have decided to simplify and modernise our identity. We hope that our new name will make it easier to promote the Archives and reach a wider audience, retaining the core elements of the service we provide.

NEW EXHIBITION:

Treasures of the archives

Our new exhibition showcases highlights from our collections that have been deposited with us over our 75 year history, from North Riding Record Office to North Yorkshire Archives.

You can see a wide range of records from our collections dating from the 12th – 20th centuries from across North Yorkshire.
