SUMMARY:Wagon and tilt - the English portable theatre and family history
DESCRIPTION:To start our new programme of talks\, we welcome back Dr Ann Featherstone.  Portable theatres were part of the travelling entertainment community from the 18th century and\, like showmen and circuses\, often were family concerns.  Portable history\, however\, is much less well-known and understood.  This talk aims to put that right through the perspective of their family history and performers.
